Third World will take the stage on Saturday, October 29th. Fans will be treated to not only the band's hit singles "Now That We've Found Love," "Reggae Ambassador," and "Try Jah Love," but also singles from their new album Patriots.
Executive Produced by Third World Music Group and Co-Produced by Dean Pond of Rymshot Productions, the 13 track album features songs such as "Front Door" (featuring the late, great Gregory Isaacs), "You Made Me So Very Happy" (a cover of Alton Ellis' timeless hit featuring Marcia Griffiths), "By My Side" (featuring Tessanne Chin), "Good Hearted People" (feat. Capleton) and "96 Degrees" (a remake of the band's classic featuring Stephen and Damian Marley). The album also features, Toots Hibbert, Sly Dumbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Dean Frazier, Inner Circle, Mykal Rose, Jessica Yapp (on violin), Junior Reid, Capleton and Tarrus Riley.
The festival with also feature other performers such as Gyptian, Ali Campbell, Carimi, Midnight Groovers, Zouk All Stars, Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann, among others. Stephen "Cat" Coore remarks, "Dominica is truly one of those wonders of the world. I am looking forward to the hot springs, the great weather and of course the festival. After their performance in Dominica, Third World will return to the states to continue promotions of their November 16, 2011 event at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Continuing the celebration of 38 years in the business and introducing their 23rd album, Patriots, the concert will be streamed live on www.caribbeandreamerstv.com. Not only will fans get to watch the concert live, they will also get a chance to see preview episodes of Caribbean Dreamers, an upcoming series that captures up close and personal look into the group's life. Third World is encouraging fans to log on to the website to pre-register and make a pledge for an opportunity to receive unique items, including a FREE Third World performance for a cause. Additionally, the red carpet event will feature special guest Leon and the Peoples and will be hosted by Pat McKay of Sirius XM and Native Wayne Jobson of Indie1031.com. From Los Angeles, the band will travel to New York to perform at The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) 30th annual fundraising gala. To mark this years' 2011 International Humanitarian Award - which will be given to Digicel Chairman and philanthropist Denis O'Brien - HRH Prince Charles of Wales has been named Patron of Honor.
