Lazah Current Pleased With 2011‏

Looking back at 2011 fast rising roots reggae singer Hal Dugan aka Lazah Current feels very satisfied with his achievements thus far. The Humber College graduate was very busy throughout the year; he spent the earlier part of 2011 completing his sophomore album titled Better Tomorrow.

The album was released both online and physically in April, with a launch at the Lu Lau Lounge in Toronto, Canada. A few months later he launched the music video for the second single from the album, titled Lately at Shadows night club in New York.

“Although the name Lazah Current is not yet the household name I want it to be, I really think 2011 has been the best year of my solo career so far. I released my second album, I also dropped quite a few singles too and I also did a number of shows both locally and abroad. Looking back I really have a lot to be thankful for.

In a release to the press Lazah Current who was once the lead singer for Juno Award winning reggae group, Messenjah, stated that he has big plans for the upcoming New Year.

“I have a lot of big plans for 2012; it’s going to be a great year for me because I plan to capitalize on all the ground work that has been done already. I really expect a lot of big things to happen next year, my management team is currently arranging a promotional tour of the US for me as well as a tour of Europe,” said Lazah Current.

Lazah Current recently shot a music video for his album’s title track, Better Tomorrow; the video will be released in January.
