Meagan Simone Nominated for New Artist of The Year‏

Vastly uprising Louisiana native reggae songstress “Meagan Simone” has been nominated for “New Artist of the Year” at Virginia’s Reggae Awards. Simone goes on to express how excited, and happy to hear this.

The uprising artiste has been working hard in the studio over the last five months since her release of “To The Right”, A Rasta-Love Duet done with Montreal Canada’s emerging artist “King Mee” produced by Bereket Tafari, as she continues voicing with Bereket, Meagan has also been voicing for labels worldwide such as Koogah Sound, One Drop System out of Sweden, Marcus Menezes out of Brazil, and she is currently working extra hard with Germany’s “Born Free Records” as they continue to voice Meagan on 4 riddims expected to release next year.

Meagan Simone has joined up officially with YuhSeeYou Entertainment and Publicity for both Publicity works, and carreer management as of August. With that being said she is to release 2 songs off of YuhSeeYou’s sister company Indie Rootz Records, one who will be featuring international artist “Norrisman” on the Genzeb Riddim featuring other artists such as Kay Morris and Addis Pablo (Son of Augustus Pablo).

Meagan Simone will be releasing her debut album, which should be expected early March. Both she and her team expect that this will help break Meagan into the Reggae Industry, with high hopes of being able to voice for other producers and do some more colabs. Meagan and her team are pushing her name out there, and will be doing many more promotional tours and festivals summer 2012.

The Young Woman has just recently finished University Majoring in Music, and Minoring is Mass Communications and is now in Grad school taking Media Management. With that being said, expect a strong forward for this artist in 2012.
