Romain Virgo Top Winner At Linkage Awards‏

Singer, Romain Virgo walked away the top winner of the night at Sunday's Linkage Awards in New York. Romain who is known for his chart-toppers Caan Sleep, Who Feels It Knows It, Wanna Go Home,System and more, won the coveted "Male Vocalist of the Year", "Most Consistent Artiste of the Year" and "Recording Artiste of the Year" awards.

The singer who left the island to attend the ceremony says, "It was a surprise to not only be nominated for so many, but to also win them. I'm happy and honoured by it and I really couldn't have done it without the support of the fans. So I want to thank them all."

Romain who first came to the fore after becoming the youngest contestant to win the Digicel Rising Stars competition in 2007 has made a steady rise to the top of the reggae industry. Next up on the singer's plate, is dishing out a fanciful musical feast on his sophomore album, System, expected to be released at the end of April.

He says, "That project is something that myself and the producers worked extremely hard on. There will be hints of the old Romain from the debut album, but I'm also hoping fans will be able to see my musical growth. It comes out in a few weeks, so everyone should go out and get it and of course feel free to have some favourites and give me feedback on what their thoughts are."
