Dandexx Hits Top 10 With "Fill My Cup"


Next Generation recording artist Dandexx is very upbeat about his career. The California based deejay recently scored his first Top 10 hit with his single titled Fill My Cup. The song which was produced by his younger brother Wayne Brown is currently number 9 on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart.

The artist, who is currently working on the completion of an album tentatively titled Praise Selassie I, said he is very happy with the success of Fill My Cup and is looking forward to greater things to come.

“I very pleased with what’s going for Fill My Cup; it is just the beginning of greater things to come. Right now I am working on my album and I am getting ready to drop two brand new singles for Ethiope records as well, these songs are Run To The Rock and Life Of Corruption, both of them are very good songs that will connect with the people in a very positive way,” said Dandexx.

Also on the cards for Dandexx are a number of upcoming performances throughout the USA.

“I have a number of shows coming up soon in California and several other parts of the US, my management team is currently in negotiation with several promoters regarding these events.”

Jimbolee Drops Good Morning Rhythm


Fast rising reggae artist/producer Philip Wilmot aka Jimbolee is currently enjoying a wave of success. His Spanish Love single from the album of the same name is still number 1 on New York’s Mature Radio.net Top 10 Reggae Charts after 15 weeks.

Meanwhile his other single titled I Wish just topped the Global Linkz Radio.com Top 10 Charts.“Things are really going great for me right now two of my songs are number one on two different internet stations abroad and I have several shows lined up both locally and overseas, so I can’t complain at all.”

The Ochi Rios based singer is currently promoting his new rhythm project called the Good Morning rhythm. The Good Morning rhythm was executively produced by Jimbolee and Cecil Richards and features songs from veteran reggae crooner Jimmy Riley, Perfect, Jimbolee and 2010 Popular Song Contest winner Karuso. Also featured on the rhythm are a number of upcoming acts such as G Mafia, Harmony, Keke I, Umar, Empress Apple and I Rolla.

Since its release a few weeks ago several of the songs on the Good morning rhythm have been receiving strong airplay play overseas, locally and in the clubs. Jimbolee said that he is very pleased with the response the rhythm has received so far and he plans to go all out with its promotion.

“I feel good about the response the rhythm is getting and I am going to go hard with the promotion on it. We have a lot of good tracks on the rhythm and I know it’s going to do very well both at home and overseas,” said Jimbolee.

Yen Productions Taking Jamaica by Storm


The upcoming label Yen Productions has made a breakthrough just recently with the single "Satisfaction" which features Canada's R&B pop star; Oriana and International versatile DJ; Chan Dizzy. The dancehall fusion love track has been receiving lots of radio play on the Island including the well known stations Bess Fm, Irie and Zip FM.

It doesn't stop there though, the track has been receiving recognition and radio play worldwide. Producer Yen has received a great amount of feedback since the singles release.

Look out for Yen of Yen Productions tomorrow night (Saturday, February 18th, 2012) at 11pm on Jamaica's Bess FM with host DJ Jacko. Yen will be talking about his most recent production "Skype Up" riddim which Kid Kurrupt will be acompanying him, as it features himself aslongside Supa Hype, Munga, Hollow Point, Jounia Skyy, Golden Rama, Skeleton, and Spida. As well the talented producer will be bringing in Big Wayne to start some hype on their current project, as well as Yen will be talking about his upcoming projects that he has been working on over the last month with artists Busy Signal, Lutan Fyah, Beenie Man, and his artists Oriana and Chan.
