Reggae In Motion Riddim Out January 15th

With positive early reviews from several top radio disc jocks across the island to its credit the 9 track Reggae In Motion Riddim by singer / producer Sophia Brown is poised to do well when it is official release on Jan 15th.

The riddim which has been in production for roughly a year is Brown’s latest effort as a producer under her Music Mecka Record label. “I started working on this project early last year and even though it took longer than anticipated I believe it will be worth the wait. The first person we recorded on Reggae In Motion was “Warrior King” with a song called “Come Together” and from there everyone else came and laid their vocals”.

Brown who also has a song on the riddim entitled “Standing Firm” featuring Fiona explained the name of the riddim just came out of no where. “One day while in the studio with my engineer Steven Stanley we were thinking of what to name it and he just said Reggae In Motion and it just stuck”.

Also featured on the riddim is a host of talented artists including Lady G, Ginjah, Anthony Q, OJ, Anthony Red Rose and Droop Lion. Reggae In Motion will be distributed by Zojak Worldwide and is Brown’s second riddim release after the “Catch Me If You Can” singer success with Lovers Rock Riddim a few years ago.

In other news Sophia Brown is gearing up to attend this years Grammy Award ceremony on Feb 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Brown who had a successful run last year recently opened a new office in Kingston and according Fiona Williams her right hand lady the focus this year is shows. “We are concentrating our efforts on tours and promotion for 2013, South America is a market we have our eyes on as well as reaching the colleges in the US. Also big on the agenda is the Sophia Brown brand which includes novelty items”.
