Donsome Records Releases ‘Reggae Fruits & Roots Vol. 1’


Donsome Records has issued its most ambitious project to date. The 16 track various artistes compilation 'Reggae Fruits & Roots Vol. 1' is highly touted as a hot collectors' item. Produced by the team of Adrian 'Donsome' Hanson and Peter 'Shady' Harrisfeatures additional production work from Kemar 'Flava' McGregor, Oneil 'Clarkie' Clarke, Ricky 'Mad Man' Myrie, and Bruno Henrique from Brazil.

In a release to the media, Hanson stated that the project was structured by concept and storyline. 'The album was structured by concept and storyline. I wanted to bring out Fruits and Roots with a little love. At first I looked for artistes who could sing songs that would bring out these feelings. I also reached out to producers who have worked with artistes that could interpret the message that we wanted to bring across to the listeners', Hanson explained. The project is a mixture of different rhythms but all the beats stick to the same roots one drop vibe.  

Early response to the project has been quite favorable with songs already in rotation at radio. The track list for Reggae Fruits & Roots Vol. 1 reads: Feel Up Feel Up by Anthony Cruz; Higglers Anthem by Rage; Fruits and Roots by Lutan Fyah; Inside or Outside by Ancient; This is by Tony Curtis featuring Jigsy King; Skank by Iley Dread; Tune in by Natural Black; So in Love by Turbulence; 

The One by Ginjah; You Got Played by Ce'Cile; Playa by Erasto; Love Idiot by Influential; Give Thanks and Praise by Gyptian; You Deliver Me by George Nooks; When I Call by Chezidek and My Blessing by Aima Moses. Donsome Records' most recent projects include the Amore rhythm and the compilation 'Reggae Roots Vol. 1'. Reggae Fruits & Roots Vol. 1 is set for a March 12 release at all digital outlets including ITunes, Amazon, Emusic and Spotify among others.
