Keznamdi To Launch Bridging The Gap EP

Fast rising Contemporary Reggae artiste Keznamdi will mark an important signpost in his career with the local launch of his first EP dubbed Bridging the Gap at a free concert tomorrow. The concert will take place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre,Tuesday June 18 starting at 7:00 pm.

Keznamdi, who is currently in Jamaica on a promotional tour of his EP, says the launch is important because he will get a chance to give Jamaicans an intimate view of his music: “The launch will feature live performances of all the tracks on my EP, including the collaborations with Kabaka Pyramid (Darkness) and Chronixx (My Love For You), who will both be joining as special performance guests.

Fans will also see my sister in blood and in music, Kelissa, my father Chakula and Dre Island take the stage to give support.” Keznamdi’s Bridging the Gap EP has been warmly welcomed by the music industry both here in Jamaica and overseas; the album got the Hot Shot Debut at number 10 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. Tracks from the EP such as Darkness featuring Kabaka Pyramid and Weekend, are also getting good rotation here in Jamaica and in the United States.

Apart from performing tracks from the EP for the first time in Jamaica, Keznamdi will also be launching the Gideon video, which is a collaboration between himself and Kelissa. The video was shot earlier this year and will be screened for the first time in Jamaica at the event.

Keznamdi launches his first EP, Bridging the Gap, with a free concert featuring performances by Keznamdi, Kelissa, Chakula, Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid and Dre Isand, all backed by Phuzzion Band. The family affair will be hosted by Keznamdi’s sister, Kamila McDonald and will be at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre tomorrow, Tuesday June 18 starting at 7:00PM.
