@GreenLionCrew "Rough Road" Available July 16

Award-winning producer Zeke Stern, aka Green Lion, producer for OkayPlayer/LargeUp’s #5 Top UK Dancehall Tune in 2012 (“We Run England” performed by Mr Williamz) connects reggae, dubstep, dub and dancehall on the Rough Road Riddim (Soul of the Lion Records).

Featuring many of the most acclaimed reggae and bass music vocalists of our time—Jahdan Blakkamoore (Major Lazer, Dutty Artz, Lustre Kings, Noble Society), Kabaka Pyramid (Billboard Magazine’s #1 ‘Next Big Sound’ in May 2013), Chronixx (Major Lazer), Dre Island, Zamunda and Cron Syncro—the Rough Road projects a unique milestone in both music and message. Special props to Jamaican visual artist Taj Francis for capturing the music in stunning visual form.

"I do love the [Rough Road] Big original riddim" David Rodigan/BBC 1Xtra
"Great work, with a great line up of reggae's current hit artists." DJ Walshy Fire/Major Lazer.

Known for work with Collie Buddz' ("Come Down"), Mr. Williamz' ("We Run England"), and an homage to Junjo Lawes called the More Spiritual Riddim (2012), Green Lion productions show a respect for the foundation while testing current musical boundaries. Check out Green Lion's Eek A Mouse remix series for another great example of classic reggae tunes through the filter of up to the time dancehall, dubstep and hip hop sounds.

Also a dedicated sound system, Green Lion's live shows are dominated are dancefloor killers loaded with exclusive recordings. A steady stream of Green Lion mixtapes and its weekly Green Lion radio show on WXGR 101.5 FM make it is easy to 'stay up to the time and close to the roots'.
