Soca and
Dancehall Stars Team for the Steamy
"Gyal Come (Jook & Stab)" Remix
Soca sensation Mr Renzo releases his first international collaboration, as he joins forces with dancehall star Dollarman for an update of his hit single “Gyal Come (Jook & Stab).” The exciting and eclectic singer and songwriter was born Lawrence Adams in Bolívar, Venezuela and relocated to Trinidad as an infant.
His rich upbringing translates into his music today, as he nurtures an unprecedented legacy of Spanish-Caribbean fusion, mixing tropical and salsa music with soca and calypso to create his own unique international sound.
“I’m working on fusing my already diverse flavors with other genres from around the Caribbean because I strive to bring the true essence of Caribbean music to the world,” discloses Mr Renzo. “This collaboration with Dollarman is really exciting because he is known to global audiences through his work with Bob Sinclair and it’s great to tap into his fan base with my music with this joint endeavor.”
The scintillating, suggestive single tune about the proverbial sexy gyal was penned by Erphaan Alves and Dollarman and produced by London Future, who fronted the remix by adding trap flavor to the original Precision Productions’ dancehall-meets-soca beat.
This consistent approach of blending flavors grows Mr Renzo’s international appeal, and adds to his already genre-bending sound, thus guaranteeing his music a place within the ears of fans far and wide. The original version of “Gyal Come (Jook & Stab)” by Mr Renzo is now available worldwide on iTunes and all major digital retailers.
