Ginjah Cops Male Vocalist of the Year Award at Linkage Awards

It is clear to be seen that Ginjah is rapidly becoming one of the dominant voices in Reggae music. Ginjah had wonderful run in 2013 with the monster hit Sweet Killer. The single that was produced by the Germany based record label Silly Walks Discotheque, on the Honey Pot rhythm, was one of the biggest hits of the year.

So it came as no surprise on Saturday night when Ginjah was named the Male Vocalist of the Year at the annual Linkage Awards, which were held at the Evander Childs high School in The Bronx, New York. He beat out an impressive list of nominees which included Tarrus Riley, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo and Gyptian to win the award.

The hard working singer says he is very pleased about winning the award. “I’m happy to know that I have won this award, I have to give thanks to the Most High, all my fans and my supporters. I also have to give thanks to the organizer of the Linkage Awards for recognizing my talent and my work.”

Ginjah also stated, “The mission has just began, I’m working hard not only for the upliftment of my career, but also for the upliftment Reggae music and Jamaica. Ginjah is currently promoting a brand new album titled Urge to Love. “The album is getting a lot of positive feedback from Reggae music lovers all over the world. It just got a wonderful review on Reggaeunited.com a few days ago.”

Ginjah’s latest single Insider aka Police Man Story is currently one of the hottest songs burning up the local airwaves. “What can I say about this song? It’s a scorcher, it’s just burning up the whole place, and it’s a hot topic. Everywhere I go people are talking about it,” said Ginjah.
