Tasha T Releases Real Talk


RasVibe recording artiste Tasha T recently released her long awaited sophomore album Real Talk. The album was released on Ethiopian Liberation Day, May 5th, 2014 to a large international fan base that has been patiently waiting for this special album from the Canadian born female Sing-Jay of Jamaican parentage.

The album was recorded in Jamaica and Canada, and features tracks from some of Reggae's most notable producers including, Mikey Bennett, Bobby Digital, Computer Paul, Syl Gordon, Orville ‘Rorey’ Baker, Paul ‘Patchy’ Wright and Danny Maestro. On Real Talk, Tasha T takes listeners on a tour through Reggae's various genres and real aspects of her own life.

The album features a diverse mix of songs that deal with everyday aspects of life that listeners can easily relate to such as In A Di Jungle, Mouth A Matic, Prescription, Mr. Preacher Man, Family Reunion and her most recent single Bed of Fire. Tasha also visits her emotional side, with songs like True Love, Firm Meditation, Long Distance Relationships and Today is the Day.  

She also takes time to highlight the importance of Education, a topic very dear to her heart, and one that has seen her embracing the role of Ambassador, for the Read Across Jamaica Foundation. Tasha T is very passionate about educating and empowering our young people and encourages the youths to seek education with a track called Educate Yourself. 

Tasha T said Ethiopian Liberation Day, was the appropriate day for the release of the album, and she hopes that people will recognize and celebrate the victory of Good over Evil, and identify this special day with the release of Real Talk. “I am extremely happy my album was released on Ethiopian Liberation Day, as that day is a very special day in our history.”
