Junior X Eyes Major Artiste Status With Debut Album!‏

With his debut album set to be released in early October, reggae artiste Junior is very happy having finally completed a full length recording project, as many fans have been requesting an album from him since his debut in 2005.

“Yes I’m excited. The album has songs for the ladies and of course the Almighty comes first in everything so we have to make mention and praise him. We also have songs that speak about the struggles of the people in ghetto because that’s where it all started, said Junior X”

The Plead My Cause lyricist also spoke of his desire to gain local dominance after being noticeable absent from the music scene for a while until last year.

“That’s how (being absent) it seems but it’s not the reality. I never stopped doing music, it’s my life. This game is full of politics with people who want to push you around,” he said.

The album will boast 16 tracks and is produced by US based record label Revolutionary Entertainment. According to Junior X, he got major support from some of the leading names in the business and is very confident that the album will be a success.

“The album will have 16 tracks on it. We have a variety of music to display through the album. I’m working with a number of producers like Bobby Digital, Sly and Robbie, and Rickman at Mixing Lab studio. So I expect, with their experience, the album will be a hit,” he said.

Junior X also believes the album which will also feature duets with Gyptian and Queen Ifrica will help to propel his career to new heights. However he knows that it will take a lot of hard work for him to gain major artiste status, therefore he and his management team is prepared to go all out in promoting the album.

Revolutionary Entertainment is currently in the process of putting together a US tour for Junior X which will commence after the release of the album. The company is also in negotiations with promoters in Europe who are interested putting on a tour with the artiste early next year.

Being successful in the music business often requires one to be consistent and creative, Junior is prepared to do that despite the many obstacles he has face in his career over the years.

So far he has topped the reggae charts both at home and abroad twice since he returned to local music scene last year with thought provoking singles The Pill and Gangster Life.
