Cultural reggae artist Rippa Jackson is working hard to make a serious impact on global reggae music scene. His music is conscious and inspiring; the versatile artist sings songs with universal themes and messages that can be related to by people of all ages, color, class or creed.
Rippa began singing at the tender age of ten, like most talented singers he honed his vocals skills in church while growing up.
Over the years he has developed into a dynamic baritone vocalist, who is comfortable singing various forms of reggae songs, whether it be roots and culture or lovers rock, whatever he sings its always melodious.
His latest single titled Help Someone was produced by Oral Williams of Oz1 Arts and Entertainment for Hot Head Kulcha. It was recently released to radio and is already creating quite a buzz on local radio stations such as IRIE FM, HITZ 92 FM and ZIP FM.
When asked if he was surprised about the response the single has been receiving the Portmore native responded by saying: Not really, I am pleased that it is getting the kind of attention it deserves, because it’s a very good song that carries a very righteous message. So I am very happy appreciative for the love its getting both at home and abroad.”
Rippa Jackson whose real name is Rohan Thompson is currently working on his sophomore album which is slated to be released in 2012. His previous full length offering titled Rastafari love was released in 2005.
