Betty Wright Concert Ready To Go!

Kingston, Jamaica December, 10,2010: Reggae Grammy Award winning Betty Wright takes centre stage at the Liguanea Club in New Kingston on, Saturday December 11. The evening will feature stars such as Tarrus Riley, Freddie McGregor and Tessanne Chin building momentum as Betty Wright builds the crescendo with her legendary scores.

Betty Wright is best known for her timeless records, Tonight Is The Night, Good By You Hello Him, Clean Up Woman, No Pain No Gain, Thank You For The Many Things You've Done, Girls Can’t Do What The Guys Do, Still Be A Lady and Rock On Baby Rock On. “This is going to be a celebration of good music and the Yuletide season,” said Fiona Fennell, Chief Executive Officer of Stiletto Concepts, promoters of the concert.

Patrons will be treated to a musical extravaganza as the gates roll open at 7.00 pm. The first 100 patrons in general admission will receive a free drink courtesy of Smirnoff and Baileys.

Patrons traveling from Ocho Rios and Montego Bay will have no problems getting to the venue as Hopeton Thompson, Operations Manager of Knutsford Express explained, ”We are offering a special return fare of $3200 from Montego Bay and $2000 from Ocho Rios.” The shuttle will depart Montego Bay at 4.30 p.m. and make the return trip after the show. Patrons can contact the Knutsford Express offices in Kingston at 960-5499 or Montego Bay at 971-1822 to make easy arrangements.

The Betty Wright Concert, “No Pain No Gain”, was initially scheduled for Saturday November 6, but postponed due to the passing of Tropical Storm Tomas.

Tickets are now on sale at various ticket locations island wide, $2000 presale $3000 at the gate, $3500 VIP presale and $4500 VIP at the gate. Patrons are advised that tickets bought for the events former date will still be valid for Saturday December 11.
