From Crop Over TO Carnival

After taking the soca scene by storm with his 2010 hit “Go Down”, Lil Rick gets ready to make his first appearance in Trinidad, the Carnival capital of the Caribbean, later this month. The hugely popular Condemn riddim, produced by Barbadian producer Peter Coppin also features the likes of Alison Hinds, a collaboration with Skinny Fabulous and Timeka Marshall and Beenie Man amongst others.

Since its release in July, 2010, the infectious single has dominated soca charts across the region. In late December, a remix featuring the King of Soca Machel Montano created additional momentum for the single driving it onto the charts once again.

“ I’m looking forward to performing in Trinidad this year. The response so far wherever I have performed Go Down since Crop Over has been unbelievable…I don’t expect that Trinidad will be any different” says Lil Rick.

It is expected that Lil Rick will certainly leave his mark on Trinidad carnival as he prepares to unleash some traditional “Bajan wuk ups” for the soca lovers who will flock to the twin island republic for the Carnival season. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming events.
