Evin Lake Getting Attention With ‘Come Go With Me’‏

Kevin Clarke ventured into the world of music from a very early age. The Port Antonio native grew up with an affinity for R&B and lovers rock, being drawn primarily to the sounds of Teddy Pendergrass, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Dennis Brown and Sanchez.

By dropping a few letters from his government name, Clarke became known as Evin Lake, launching his singing career in the early 1990's. 'Girl I'll Be There,' an R. Kelly cover, was one of his earliest singles.

He also worked with top flight reggae producer, Barry O'Hare, releasing originals such as 'He's Alive' and 'I Don't Want To Lose Your Love,' both of which appeared on O'Hare's X Rated label. Lake found steady work in the tourism industry, plying his craft in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Negril for more than ten years.

Evin Lake's latest song is a new cover of the Pendergrass hit song, 'Come Go With Me.' It is produced by Othneil 'Taddy P' Campbell, who is a well-known bassist who has toured with Maxi Priest and Diana King. The song is released on his Bass In Your Face label.

Since its release to radio a few weeks ago 'Come Go With Me.' it has been receiving steady airplay from several popular radio deejays including IRIE FM’s DJ Amber and Ron Muschette.
