Andy Livingston Give Props to JCDC Popular Song Contest

Fast rising reggae singer Andy Livingston is convinced now more than ever that his big break in music is just around the corner. The baritone voice singer recently placed third in the JCDC Popular Song Competition with his entry titled Jamaica Sunshine.

Livingston said that his time in the competition was well spent as he learned a lot right throughout the contest. He also said that the contest enabled him to expose his music to a whole new audience locally and for this he is eternally thankful to JCDC and the people of Jamaica.

“A lot of artistes are afraid that they will be stigmatized if they enter certain competitions, but I am very happy that I entered the Popular Song Contest. I have gained a lot from it and I have also formed a lot of good friendships with the other contestants too. Overall it was a very good experience,” said the artiste.

Now that competition is over Andy is placing all his focus on the continued promotion of his latest single titled The One, which is an up-tempo cross over flavored track, which was done in tandem with talented newcomer Kenzic.

“Right now it’s all about the promotion of my latest single, The One. It has been getting a lot of airplay and I am planning to shoot a video for it very soon. I plan to go all out with this tune; I believe it has a lot of potential.”

Also on the cards for Andy Livingston are several upcoming gigs in Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad.
