LSS Records to Release‘Wray Riddim’ November 11th

LSS Records boss Reuben G will put out the label’s third release, the Wray riddim this November. The digital riddim pack features 5 tracks from a variety of UK based dancehall artists from London & Birmingham including Serocee (Toddla T Sound / Jambrum) and an exciting new talent out of London, Kong.

The most up-tempo and UK Bass influenced offering so far, the riddim’s stand out track features one of the UK’s most prominent Dancehall vocalists – Serocee.

Coming hard as always with strong lyrical content, ‘Work & Buyout’ is a continuation of Serocee’s hard working philosophy typified by his weekly ‘Mek Money Monday’ online broadcasts.

In contrast to attracting a long time member of the Toddla T Sound, Reuben G has also identified a rising talent in the shape of young London vocalist Kong. At only 23 years of age, this is Kong’s maiden release with the much anticipated Foundation mixtape expected to land soon. Reuben feels the mixture of established and unknown artists on the release sits perfectly with the riddim’s hybrid style.

“I wanted to have Serocee on one of my tracks for a while now and back when I sent him the demo I knew the fact it had a bit of a dance track influence it would be perfect for him. He jumped straight on it and I was really happy with the finished track.

Kong is someone I’ve been watching and I chose him mainly because his sound was different to a lot of UK artists out there.” Also featuring Birmingham deejays Juggernaut, Dowse & Diamond White, this is the third collaboration between Reuben G and Rebel World’s Baby Boom with the London artist previously smashing up the Normalize and Resolution riddims with ‘Da Wine Deh’ and ‘Dweet & Done’.

‘Bout Yah’ showcases Baby’s infectious fast chat style as he switches across several flows throughout. After the success of the last two releases, LSS aims to pioneer Dancehall & Bashment music with a strong and unique UK identity, as Reuben G explains: “For this riddim in particular, I wanted a really upbeat and UK Style so I approached it almost in the same way I would for one of my Funky tracks.

Hopefully, moving forward I can continue to develop that sound and start working with even more exciting UK artists.” The riddim pack consisting of 6 tracks including the instrumental version is available for digital download on the 11th November from Amazon, Juno Download and iTunes. The Wray Riddim was recently featured on Robbo Ranx’s BBC 1xtra Dancehall Show
