Chippin Jab Riddim Brings New Anthems for the Road

Soca hit-house WIZ Records blazes into 2014 with its Chippin Jab Riddim, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on March 11, 2014, with pre-order available on February 25, 2014, from FOX FUSE.

With Grenadian producer Shawn “Mr. Roots” Mitchell at its helm, WIZ Records scores with the infectious riddim, which is loaded with five scintillating singles, along with the instrumental version.

Just as its name suggests, Chippin Jab Riddim effortlessly fuses Grenada’s jab jab music style with groovy soca’s chipping tempo, thereby creating a unique up-tempo rhythm that is melodious and groovy at the same time.

This pairing results in hits for all the artists that are featured, including Notorious with “Bang Di Bumper,” Terra Kid with “Set And Ready,” Pupa Leendi with “Sort Me Out,” Yankey Boy with “Pullover,” Rayzor RQB with “Soca, Rum & Gyal,” and rounds out with the “Chippin Jab Riddim” instrumental version from Mr. Roots.

Producing music since 1998 for his Mr. Roots Productions, Mr. Roots is also a recording engineer and famed bassist, most known for playing bass in soca star Machel Montano’s HD Band. Now pulling from all his Caribbean roots - from Grenada to Trinidad to Brooklyn - the Chippin Jab Riddim arms revelers with the perfect soundtrack for their fetes and festivals, and earns WIZ Records another notch in its musical belt.
