It's a Reggae Revival with Nkrumah!‏

For Reggae artist Nkrumah (pronounced N-Crew-Mah), the genre is as much about the music as it is about the culture, as it is about the history. Blessed with a deep Baritone voice, the artist and musician keeps the concept of Reggae Revival alive with his combination of his three important elements.

Speaking to media in Toronto, Nkrumah states “it is an honor for me to perform the music that I love, and include the essence from greats of the past.” By greats, Nkrumah is referring to Henry ‘Junjo’ Lawes, Ranking Toyan and Eek-A-Mouse who are amongst some of the most respected artists in their era. Today, not only is Nkrumah enjoying unprecedented success on the radio, he is also enjoying success on television screens across Canada.

His single “Reggaemylytis,” was serviced to Radio DJ’s earlier this month, and immediately received global support with countries such as the UK, continents such as Africa and niche markets such as Brazil playing the single immediately. That support has been extended to T.V. thanks to CEEN TV who has put the corresponding music video into rotation on their television station.

Watched by millions of people across the Tri-State area of North America via Cablevision, CEEN is one of North America’s premier outlets for fans to connect with Caribbean programming, particularly entertainment, 24 hours per day; 7 days per week. Allowing fans to connect with Nkrumah’s brand, Clif from Tuff Boyz Entertainment speaks to the concept of the video saying “putting together the video was good because we showed the fact that the ‘itis’ is like a sickness, and once you get that sickness, you can’t get rid of it. You can go to the doctor, but there is no cure for this type of ‘it is!’
